Kill Your Weakenss

We have one job as humans: to improve ourselves so that our superior DNA gets passed down to our offspring. The problem? We’ve hit a point in our society where weakness has become the norm. Don’t let your bloodline down. Kill your weakness. Let’s get into this…

Have you been out in public lately?

I don’t mean just a trip to the gym – I mean out… in public – where “regular” people mill around eating, shopping or just spending time with their families.

Have you looked at people lately?

Overweight, bad posture, not a lick of musculature and most have their heads down – as they’re immersed in their own little digital world they’ve created with that little hand-held computer that’s never outside of arm’s length.

My friends and I have a term for these kinds of people…

Zombie food.

Why?

Because in the event of a zombie apocalypse – these will be the first people to go. ZERO survival skills, no way to take care of themselves and their cardio is most likely s#!t – so they won’t be able to fight, scavenge or outrun the horde’s of flesh eaters looking to make them into dinner.

To put it into today’s youthspeak: They misunderstood the assignment.

Our job isn’t to find a way to become as comfortable as possible. Our end goal shouldn’t be to become the floating-chair obese people from WALL-E… it should be to become the hardest and best version of ourselves.

And I don’t mean just in the physical realm…

We should be constantly trying to become stronger mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well.

But in order to do that we need to do one thing:

Kill Your Weakness

We all have weaknesses…

If you’re ready to become the BEST version of yourself – the first step is being completely honest with yourself by identifying what your weaknesses actually are.

We all know where we’re lacking – the hard part is actually calling it out.

Me? I know where I’m lacking…

Physically, I’m good. I’m strong, my cardio (at least for fighting… running, is a different subject) is on point and I ALMOST have abs. So, I’m good there…

Emotionally, I’m ok. I open up when I need to, I don’t let my baggage infect my relationships and I’ve addressed a lot of my childhood trauma.

The same can be said for my spirituality – as I’ve had a relationship with Christ for as long as I can remember.

No, my biggest deficiencies are mental – as there are times where I could be more disciplined. I waste a lot of time with distractions when I could be using my time better.

So, I need to kill my weakness…

And the best way to kill weakness – is to make yourself STRONGER – and to do that… you need a plan.

Make A Plan

There’s an old adage that is as true today and the day it was first said: “if you fail to plan… plan to fail.”

Having a clear and concise plan on how to turn your weakness into a strength will increase your chances of success infinitely.

My generation learned this early on by watching the A-Team. Hannibal Smith always loved it when a plan came together…

And if you make the right plan – you’re already halfway to your goal.

For me, it comes down to planning my day.

You see, I’m fine when it comes to work – when I work – I’m focused. No, my problem is when I’m NOT working, teaching or training. I will waste time on social media, scrolling through YouTube videos or, my biggest weakness, playing Call of Duty for a few hours.

I’ve recognized this… and I’ve started to adjust my schedule accordingly.

So, I’ve scheduled times that I can do these things – without them interfering with my ability to get stuff done around the house. The key is limiting them. I’ve been able to still get my dopamine fix – I’ve just shortened the amount of time I spend doing each.

I would scroll social media for hours after going to bed. I would tell myself, “Only scroll for 10 mins – then it’s lights out. You need to sleep so you can wake up early and hit the gym.”

Then hours later – I’d still be scrolling. It’s an addiction. So, like all rehab programs – I followed a protocol.

So far, my time management has been so much better – and I’m able to wake up with ZERO problem and hit the gym as hard as I need to.

But it all started with making a plan to turn a weakness into a strength.

Don’t Be Zombie Food

What are you doing to improve yourself today?

Even more…

What are you doing to make sure you’re one of the last f**king survivors of the zombie apocalypse?

It doesn’t take a lot of work to make yourself better – just consistency. Do something everyday to make yourself into the best version of you that’s ever existed.

Whether it’s making your body, mind or spirit stronger…

There’s something we can do EVERY single day to ensure that we’re making progress in some way, shape or form.

That’s what killing your weakness looks like.

Becoming better… stronger – in every aspect of your life.

Or – you can stay the same and be comfortable with who you are. Just know that’s not living – it’s existing. We’re not put on this world to just exist – we’re here to LIVE…

And pass the lessons we learned down to the next generation.

That’s how we leave this world a better place than when we arrived…

So, take your first step to kill your weakness. Today.
