if you look at the American spirt from 1776 to today – it looks a lot different. Some say it’s dead – it’s not… it’s just distracted. From political infighting to the threat of global war – it seems like we, the people – have forgotten what that American spirit is. Let’s remind everybody…
I can’t help it…
As we’re on the cusp of the birth of the United States of America – I just can’t help but feel nostalgic.
Lots of people feel it every Fourth of July. The fireworks. The picnics and cookouts. The flags…
And for some – the flashbacks.
It’s more than a celebration…
It’s a reminder.
A reminder that this country wasn’t handed to us. It was fought for. People shed more than blood for this country – some families ENDED to preserve the rights that we enjoy everyday.
But our country was birthed by trained military men…
It was brought to life by farmers and blacksmiths turned soldiers. By rebels who looked an empire in the face and said, “Not here. Not us. Not anymore.“
And that blood – that blood that turned the middle finger to a king across the ocean, whether you were born here or not – runs in your veins too if you’re an American.
And that is something we should be proud of…
The American Spirit From 1776 To Today
Bravery. Sacrifice. Liberty.
Those aren’t just words…
They’re blood-soaked values that built the foundation of a nation.

Men signed their names to death warrants in the form of the Declaration of Independence. They stood for something bigger than themselves – and knew the price could be everything.
That’s the American Spirit…
And despite what the headlines scream and the cynics chant – it’s still alive.
It shows up in every soldier who laces up their boots…
Every first responder who runs toward chaos…
And every person who refuses to be silenced, tamed or told to sit down and shut up.
We’re a nation of rebels – and whether you know it or not – it’s one of the things that can unite us.
We may be on opposite sides of the aisle – but when you attack us – we’ll come together and make you regret that decision.
We’ve seen it happen – and God willing – we won’t see that happen again.
From 1776 to Today
You see, that same fire that lit the fuse in 1776?
It still burns in the guts of those who dare to live free.
It’s in the parent working two jobs to give their kid a shot. It’s in the immigrant who risked everything for a dream. IOr i’s in the athlete pushing their limits with no spotlight, no applause…
Just the opportunity to live out their version of the American dream.

That spirit isn’t about perfection…
It’s about resilience.
It’s about standing back up when you’ve been knocked into the dirt, dusting yourself off and fighting even harder.
But there’s something else about that resilience that many people don’t talk about or tend to avoid – and that’s speaking truth even when it could cost you everything.
It’s not about politics… it’s about principles.
It’s not about noise… it’s about action.
And on Independence Day – we don’t just remember history…
We honor the opportunity to carry it forward.
You Carry That Fire Too
You may not be on a battlefield – but you’re still in the fight.
Every goal set. Every sacrifice. Each and every time you choose discipline over comfort you’re honoring the ones who came before you.
You weren’t made to be average…
You were born to build something stronger.

And that, right there, is the thread that ties us all together – both past and present.
You come from a long line of people who were willing to die for something bigger than themselves…
Which means you also possess a legacy of strength. A hunger for freedom. A refusal to back down.
You don’t need a uniform to represent it. Just a backbone.
And odds are – if you’re reading this – you’ve got that backdown.
Remember that this week when the hamburgers are cooking, the fireworks are cracking and your family is close – you’re not just enjoying a day off…
You’re enjoying the freedom people died to give you – shoot them a thought or a prayer this July 4th.
We owe them everything.
“Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth.” – George Washington
